Włodzimierz Szymański: Woody Allen's work often perplexes. It shows naked human personality faced with the moment of choice as well as uncertain morality, against which we eventually become worthless. A sense of continuous tough decisions, consequences, elapsed feelings and the inevitable end makes us doubted about the sense of pursuit of our purpose. Allen is wondering how much in life is just a coincidence, and how much really depends on us? Więcej...

Dariusz Zawiślak: Allen brought back memories, that shall not disappear in his movies. He didn't allow the things that he loved to vanish. In his works we can find a significant part of himself. I found these elements ,and tried to present them in the form of multimedia instalation. I triend to find the substance of Allen personality from more of his forty movies, that he directed so far. As previously mentioned my work is a continuation of the research undertaken during directing my movie "Happy Birthday Woody Allen and Keep Going." Więcej...

Nadia Issa: Video "Isswoody" is part of a larger project where I would like to play variety of women roles who appear alongside Woody Allen. In this video I chose a scene from the film "Annie Hall", where Woody talks with Annie about photography. While acting, I try to give my woman character as much as possible features from my own personality. I'm reinterpreting the iconic movie scenes. Więcej...

Magdalena Bałdyga: The inspiration for her work was the New York City and its district - Manhattan, but also the New York subway, which plays an important role in urban transport. Connections and lines which lead to the most important places in the city, but also are strongly associated with Woody Allen movies, his work, and himself. Więcej...

Greta Samuel: TRUE / FALSE / CREATION Three words and three different meanings that may impact on time which bend and mesh forming an infinite cycle. How time impacts on relationships with people, and ourselves? The first phase is the CREATION, we try to show ourself from the best side. We want to make the best impression possible. Then comes the FALSE or the desire to be like our imaginations of ourself. TRUE / FALSE / CREATION Three words and three different meanings that may impact on time which bend and mesh forming an infinite cycle. Więcej...

Barbara Dębiec: In 1943, Abraham Maslow introduced a theory of the hierarchy of human needs. He sorted in it the most basic of needs – arising from basic human functioning – to those of a higher level that become apparent when the lower needs have been satisfied. In Maslows introduced pyramid model the most basic needs are physiological such as eating, sleep and sexual needs. When they are satisfied, we turn to a need for safety, then love and affiliation, then respect and applause and finally a need for self-achievement. Looking at this proposed hierarchy, we can debate whether or not all people have this structure of needs. More...

Przemysław Walczak: The project title, “I Woody”, is a play on words and so are Woody Allen’s films, since he often relies on these types of games. I attempt to explore and play with film titles from Woody’s earlier work using typographic correlations in the names of films and their parallels to the actual plots that I have observed. I’ll try to create a kind of trailer with a visual and summarizing way of displaying the characters and motives of the explored movie.  More...

Ewa Szyman: I watched Robert B. Weide’s film “Woody Allen: A Documentary” and I saw that Woody frequently “wear” a mysterious smile “under his moustache”. It is an ambiguous smile of an intelligent, outdistance and humorous but also sensual man. It´s a somewhat secretive smile almost likes Mona Lisa’s. I would “dress” a moustache on Woody Allen, an extraordinarily one, a la “Duchamp moustache”. And I will play with words on Duchamp’s pseudonym “Rrose Selavy”. More...

Maria Jankowska: A series of installations acting as a spatial interpretation of fear and anxiety that Woody Allen has confessed to use. A whole created from distorted theatrical and cinematographic props as well as other objects closely related to the directors surroundings. Interactive project.  More...

Zofia Jakubowska: Access to luxury items has, in the common vision, defined us as people of a higher social status and financial ability. Oftentimes in the pursuit of such luxury, we take steps that in no way make us any better. Sometimes we lose ourselves in the desire to prove to the rest of the world, that we are in fact a distinguished people. We lose sight of real goals and instead lose our identity and individuality in one fell swoop. More...

Gabriela Novak :Culture always in a sense meant culture of something; cult of something or someone; cult of the Gods, ancestors, people or objects. My work will be in the form of a video-installation a puzzle-cube as reflection on the Cult of Woody Allen in popular culture, television, advertising, the world of internet and observations of omnivorous consumers of the icon Woody Allen... Joanna Gers: Every musical instrument functions in accordance to a certain timbre. The way in which we perceive it varies for each individual, for his own different experiences. For me, playing the clarinet turned from a dream into a challenge that I will attempt to conquer during this project. At the same time, I bring the viewer’s perspective on this instrument closer to mine.  More...

Marta Dąbrowska-Okrasko: Men and women differ from each other obviously. However, this limit begins more and more to fade away. Balancing between gender, sexuality and love is no longer evident. Human sexuality is complex, it has Omni-dimensions: personal, interpersonal, socio-cultural and religious. Sexuality is something contextualized, mysterious and has a relationship with metaphysics. The eternal game between the masculine and the feminine was also reflected in the films of Woody Allen... More...

Anna Wręga: Objects are not only objects of assigned functions. They are often the materialization of various inspirations and concepts? What form will the materialized words "I WOODY" take? More...

Ilona Piwońska: Woody Allen's works are often embarrassing. It shows a naked human personality placed in the time of choices. He shows an unsure morality, to which finally we become worthless. The twinge of continuous and difficult decisions, consequences, passing feelings and the inevitable end, makes us start doubting the quest for our goal. Allen asks how much in the life is by chance and how much is really dependent on us? Creating the project IWOODY I want to focus on human morality... More...

Quynh Trang Nguyen: The aim of the work is to show the diversity of Woody Allens acts in the many areas of commercial art. The attributes used in this work should interest the observer so that he can personally open the world of Woody’s creations and experience the so-called phenomenon of “leaping out of the fridge” caused by the cult of Allen thanks to the ever-present graphics, images and artifact of himself at the centre of his work. His material placed in layers show the multi-levelled approach taken by the American... More...
